The Maplewood Concert Band carries on the proud tradition of the all-volunteer American community band.
Our members range from high school students to retirees—some have played continuously since school, while others picked up their instruments again after decades away. What brings us all together is a shared love of making music.
Whether you're a seasoned musician or a proud former band nerd ready to return, there's a spot for you in MCB.
Come join in the fun—no audition required!
We perform a variety of musical styles from classic transcriptions to contemporary concert band works including:
Stage and screen favorites
Patriotic selections
Pop, rock, jazz, folk
World music and more!
We offer free, family-friendly concerts throughout the year:
Winter & Spring: Indoor performances at The Woodland in Maplewood
Summer: Outdoor performances at The Gazebo in Maplewood and The Clipper Pavilion in West Orange
Some performances are presented with specific themes, such as holidays or movies & musicals, and others are tailored for particular audiences, including children and veterans.
We hope to see you at an upcoming event!
The MCB season runs from September through July and rehearsals are held on:
2nd and 4th Wednesdays
